Katey received her J.D. from BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School. At BYU, she enjoyed participating in the Trial Advocacy program and working as an associate editor for the Journal of Public Law. During law school, Kate completed summer internships at Utah’s Federal District Court, in the chambers of Judge J. Thomas Green, and at the Utah Attorney General’s Office, in the Criminal Appeals Division.
Katey attended the University of Utah with a Presidential Scholarship and National Merit Scholarship. While at the University of Utah, she participated on the Honors Program Student Counsel and worked as an intern for several local political campaigns. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Utah’s Honors Program with a B.A. in English Literature.
In her free time, Kate enjoys writing fiction and playing the harp, violin, and piano. She particularly loves the Utah Shakespearean Festival, dogs of all kinds, and St. George’s beautiful scenery.
